On May 11, 2019, Bay Corporation celebrated 40 years in business! While time has been flying for everyone here, we have had some pretty big milestones throughout the last 40 years. Keep reading for a blast from Bay Corporation’s past!
Jumping back 40 years ago, on May 11, 1979, Bay Corporation was founded by Larry and Donna Hull in their garage in beautiful Bay Village, Ohio (hence the name BAY Corporation). Pictured below is our founder, Larry Hull Sr.
A few years later, in December of 1986, Bay attended its first trade show at AARC. Pictured below is our chairman Brooks Hull, Larry Sr.’s brother, along with Louis Steckel and Charlie Rudd to his right.
In November of 1993, Bay Corporation sent out its first printed newsletter.
A few years later, in April 1997, we launched our first website.
In January of 1999, Bay Corporation moved into its current building, which is pictured at the bottom of this picture below. The building shown in the top left was our first rental space that we acquired in 1980 and the building on the top right was the space Bay had from 1983 until moving into our final building.
The next year, in November of 2000, Bay attended its first international trade show, Medica, which takes place in Dusseldorf, Germany.
In March of 2004, Bay Corporation received its ISO certification.
Jumping forward a couple of years, in March of 2012, Bay’s beloved mascot, BC, was born!
On February 28, 2013, Bay Corporation sent out its first digital newsletter through constant contact, which we still use today!
In January 2015, the final portion was added to our current building, which brought Bay’s work space to a whipping 33,000 square feet! Pictured here is some of the construction along with our mascot, B.C., doing his best to lend a helping hand.
Finally, jumping to the present, Bay Corporation turned 40 years old on May 11th, 2019. Here’s to many more years and countless memories!
