Cavaliers
With 14 games left in the regular season, the CAVS’s record of 43 wins – 25 losses is good for 3rd place in the Eastern Conference and 6th overall in the league. After a slow start, they have been playing excellent team ball since January led by MVP candidate, Donovan Mitchell. Their next game is today at 7pm against the Miami Heat, which includes the former CAV Kevin Love. The CAVS have been plaque with all sorts of injuries throughout the season and a variety of players have stepped up in key moments to help lead the team. Currently the team is playing without Mitchell, Max Strus, Evan Mobley, and Dean Wade. Hopefully, the CAVS can get healthy in time for a deep run in the playoffs, which starts on April 20th.

Guardians
The Guardians are wrapping up their first spring training under new manager Stephen Vogt. The team opens the 2024 season with a 4-game series at the Oakland A’s starting on March 28th. Then they travel to the Seattle Mariners and the Minnesota Twins for 3-games series before returning home. The home opener is Monday, April 8th against the Chicago White Sox. The game time was moved back to start at 5:10pm due a total solar eclipse. This once-in-a-lifetime event will occur on the shores of Lake Erie that afternoon and Cleveland will be one of the top spots around the world to see it. Shane Bieber has been named the opening day starting pitcher for the 5th season in a row and 3B José Ramírez is likely to continue as one of the best players in the game. Also, the team has the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, which takes place in July.

Browns
The Browns finished the 2023 season with a playoff loss to the Houston Texans and a final record of 11 wins – 7 losses. At the NFL Honors awards for the 2023 season, the team took home awards for Coach of the Year — Kevin Stefanski, Assistant Coach of the Year — Jim Schwartz, Defensive Player of the Year — Myles Garrett and Comeback Player of the Year — Joe Flacco. Sadly, the Browns did not resign Joe Flacco to back up QB DeShaun Watson and he has since moved on to the Indianapolis Colts. The team’s QB room now includes Watson, Jameis Winston, Tyler Huntley and Dorian Thompson-Robinson. The Browns recently acquired WR Jerry Jeudy from the Broncos and signed him to 3-year extension, their key off-season acquisition thus far before the NFL draft, which starts on April 25th. Also, the team remains hopefully that All-Pro RB as wells as “spirit of the team” Nick Chubb will return from injury sometime during the 2024 season.
